- My understanding is that this is supposed to be pretty much automatic when inserting a new drive. Both hard drives are detected and reported as Good. This weekend I powered down our servers to install a new KVM switch. When I powered this server back up, I'm getting errors indicating the Smart Array has lost its configuration information (specifically 1785 - Slot 2 Drive Array not configured) It does not detect any logical drives and obviously will not boot. Diagnostics show the physical drives. I've contacted HP tech support and they were very polite but not especially helpful.
