We have an HP Proliant server with a Smart Array 641 RAID controller that's been in service for almost 2 years. We have 6 hard drives broekn up into 3 RAID 1 arrays.
This weekend I powered down our servers to install a new KVM switch. When I powered this server back up, I'm getting errors indicating the Smart Array has lost its configuration information (specifically 1785 - Slot 2 Drive Array not configured) It does not detect any logical drives and obviously will not boot. Diagnostics show the physical drives. I've contacted HP tech support and they were very polite but not especially helpful.

Is it possible to restore these RAID arrays without loss of data? To the best of my knowledge everything was working fine before it was powered down. I've accessed confiuration info and diagnostics with the HP SmartStart CD's but have made no configuration changes or made attempts to rebuild or create arrays. Upon the suggestion of HP I did update the firmware of the controller and system board.
